Heidi is teaching ½ days this year at the junior high school.

Zach & Jenny have recently moved into a new home with a bigger, FENCED yard. The boys are growing and participating in a program for autistic children which gives them one on one time.

Debbie & Jesse are enjoying life in Colorado—all that clean mountain air!

Kandace is finding the internet pays off in her recent discovery of genealogical pictures on John’s side of the family.

JAYLYNE & CRAIG have beencalled and set apart as Church Service Missionaries to work with the Addiction Recovery Program (the 12 Step program under the auspices of LDS Family Services).  We are excited about this opportunity!

Kirsten and Hugo are still functioning without a kitchen.  The cabinets are mostly installed.  The work will probably move forward with more haste after discovering ice in the garage where they have been cooking.

Ben is not working due to the government shutdown.

Sarah passed her exam to certify as a Medical Office Assistant.  She will be able to give shots, draw blood, do routine in-office labs as well as work as a receptionist and do medical coding (for insurance billing, I think).  So, she has to wait 6-9 weeks for her certificate, but she is looking for work.  Meanwhile, she is working at ISU concessions for high school and ISU football games.

RANDY & JOANNE have a new puppy, who keeps Joanne company when Randy travels!  Viggy is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel—look him up (he’s smaller and less aggressive than say a pit bull)!
Matt, Lindsay and Benson are settled and beginning the rigors of medical school in Kirkland, Missouri.
Nathan and Tiana are job hunting around Thanksgiving. They really like where they are, so might remain and substitute teach for the winter—until this job opens again next spring.

KARLEEN & KEN have just returned from a Utah visit. They’ve sold the fishing boat and are working in the yard, logging, etc.  Karleen is substituting at the high school teaching Careers and iLife—iPhoto, iMovie, and GarageBand—a real trip, as I’ve only used iPhoto! However, I’m able to use the internet to come up w/ some great projects for class: 1) About Me;   2) A Day in the Life of “X” (roll of toilet paper, hall pass, cell phone, volleyball, --you get the idea); 3) Sport caster of the Day; and 4) Every Heroes—hopefully that will get us to Christmas.  Any other ideas would be appreciated—just in case!
Amber continues to work for Vivant and work out with Karate.
Courtney gave us all a scare when her hernia decided to give her some grief (of course, she had been out mowing Don and Danna’s lawn and hefting the grass bags!). The surgeon urged her to have it taken care of as soon as she delivers #2 in January. She, James and Jesse are doing well!
Aaron just finished up hi summer job and his Mom is trying to find other work for him!

DANNA & DON
Jared and Jen are settled in El Paso –sort of…Jared has worked some in Durango and really likes that area—a little further from the border.

ED is working with undercover agents from the Middle East to get his invention up and running.  They are all extremely optimistic!

LYNDON & DEB did the Martin Cove Trek with the youth in their Stake and had some really great experiences.
Todd and Megan have moved into their new home in Herriman.  The Las Vegas business is going well and they are liking this new area.
Dallin is doing well in Japan—bought a car to help get around so he doesn’t have to bum rides or try to work around the trains. He’s teaching English in an elementary and a middle school and loves it.
Ashley and Jed are expecting a boy in early January.
Delphia and Chloe are in 1st grade. Emma is in Kindergarten.

CORWIN & MARILYN are remodeling the master bathroom.  They had a marvelous time on an Alaskan cruise with the Lystrup Family. They had private tours. They spent the next week in Driggs—to recuperate from the vacation.
Tanner is doing great—had a baptism three weeks ago.  Last Friday Marilyn received a call from the young man who and asked if he could pick up some things for Tanner.  So she was able to meet him—he’s working in the oil fields of North Dakota for a man who used to live in their Ward!  When he began the lessons he contacted his wife and told her to find the missionaries!  She was baptized on the same day in the Philippines!  It is truly a small world—after all!

LORINDA & JAY.  Lorinda is the Ward Primary President now and runs a nursery after Church on Sundays. Jay is home-teaching  and building a house for one of his families—wish he lived in my Ward!
Lanette and Shaun are new homeowners—in Provo.
David moved to Bountiful—is still working in Salt Lake.
Rachel is back in school—and working full time.
Karina is math as a minor, so is taking additional classes this semester.
Jacob is working on Russian and is in a Branch w/ a set of sister missionaries and a couple.
Jeremy graduates in June, which will leave Sam home alone!

LES & JANEY.
Brittany Baxter Cook is a returned missionary, college graduate and now a new wife.  We love having her as part of our family.

Robert has accepted a job in Long Beach, California, and will be heading there before the end of the month with his family which includes Tiffany, Blake, Lincoln, and new member, Tiffany's cousin, Cheyene.

Mark and Lisa have put their home on the market.  They are looking for bigger digs.  The three boys, Landan, Ethan, Carson are involved in extra-curricular sports and keeps the week nights filled with fun along with Cub Scouts.  Sydnee and Lillie support their big brothers in helping keep their rooms clean for their house to be shown by realtors.  Mark will know this next week when he will be furloughed due to the government shutdown.  Sigh.

Allen and Loreena put up a wonderful chain-link fence for their back yard.  It adds peace of mind when the kids are outside.  Christian and Damien are both going to classes at USU.  Wesley keeps his mom busy at home.

Neil is engaged to Jami Walton of Blackfoot. She is currently enrolled at ISU full-time and also works full-time at Red Lobster.  We love having her as part of our family, too!  Janey has known her parents for many years.

Justin and Emi have been able to visit twice this year.  Once for the immediate family reunion at Darryl's cabin with all his siblings and again at Phil's wedding.  Such a treat to have them all together. Emi's son, Thomas, is always fun to visit with and he keeps up with all the other grandchildren.

Keith is accepted and enrolled in the Automation and Instrumentation Program at ISU.  He and Amber have moved into a great house with a rent-to-own option and are doing well.  Their little guy, Lucas, keeps them on their toes as well as Kaden and Ethan, older siblings to Lucas.

COOK COUSINS.

Taylor (Allison’s son living with Debbie) received his mission call to the New York, New York South Mission—enters the MTC on October 16th!
